This is a bit of a cult wine since its inception in 1987. With pristine elegance and poise, the 2022 has bright yet rich notes of lemon curd, tart pineapple and almond skin. A slight toastiness from the oak-ageing gives it unshakeable balance alongside its vivid acidity. It will pair well with rich, creamy pasta dishes and risottos, roast chicken and salty hard cheese such as Parmigiano Reggiano or Mimolette. Drink this now for immediate pleasure or lay it down for a while to reveal its beautifully complex layers of evolution.
